Drawing from life can be an overwhelming experience. After all, the human figure consists of so many elements to take into account! That's why we start with the most important concept of our model drawing classes: make sure that the big shape works before you add information, such as facial features, fingers and so on. Knowledge of the three-dimensional shape of the main volumes is essential during this process. That’s why we added three sculpture lessons to this course, given by an experienced Sculpture who just graduated from Figura, the Dutch Academy of Figurative Sculpture in Amsterdam. She will teach you how to make figure studies in clay, while focusing on the main volumes of the figure and how they relate. During this course we: - do lots of drawing and work from live models - develop an understanding of the different stages of the drawing process - Study works from the old masters and the anatomy of the human figure. - learn how the figure moves in space (by sculpting the figure) For whom: This course is suitable for beginners as well as more experience drawers.
